Over the last few years it has become much easier to cross into Mexico, especially during hunting season. Prior to your hunt you will need to send us a copy of your drivers license, and the make, model, serial number and caliber of any guns you plan to bring. For example, Remington Model 700, Serial No. 143332, .270. Each hunter may bring two firearms and 100 rounds of ammunition per firearm.

If you plan on driving your own vehicle you will need the vehicle title (in your name), your U.S. Passport (the original), your drivers license, and a credit card. If you have never crossed the second checkpoint it is a simple matter of stopping at what is known as the 'Garita 57' where you prove you have title to the vehicle, a valid passport, a tourist visa (supplied with your hunting license), and they charge your credit card $35.00 and apply a sticker to your front windshield allowing you to travel throughout Mexico.
It is a good idea to purchase insurance if you plan on driving. There are many affordable options available.
