Season - The season begins the last weekend of November and runs thru the 25th of January.  Normally hunts will be Thursday afternoon thru Monday morning but we will be happy to accommodate your schedule as best we can.

What is considered a Trophy? I consider any deer above 150 B&C a trophy.  However, we are looking for mature bucks scoring 170 B&C or better.  The decision is yours and the trophy fee remains the same.
Ten point taken from high rack.
Management Fee - As well as trophy class deer we also offer the opportunity to harvest a management deer for a charge of $1,500.00. A management class deer is defined as any deer 3.5 years or older with 9 points or less. There are many exceptional management deer scoring in the 140s available..

Hunting Strategies = Depending on your abilities and the current conditions hunts may be conducted by stalking, rattling, high rack or ground blinds and tripod stands overlooking corn feeders and/or food plots planted in oats and wheat. Most of our hunts begin the day by spending the morning in a stand overlooking a corn feeder and/or food plot until around 10:00 am.  Afterwards we will return to the ranch in a high rack following roads that have been spread with corn. If the opportunity allows you may harvest a javelina or some quail. Lunch will follow with a brief period to relax followed by a ride back to the stand, once again in a high rack vehicle. The afternoon is spent in a stand until dark. That is a typical day at La Rosa.
